Reporting on SAP HANA

SAP HANA provides various interface reporting options

ODBO – (OLE DB for OLAP)
Requests are sent to the database via MDX (MultiDimensional eXpression language). Multidimensional reporting is available via Excel Pivot Tables. HANA ODBO drivers is available via the Other/Advanced option of the Data Connection Wizard.

ODBC – (Open DataBase Connectivity)
Requests are sent to the database via SQL (Structured Query Language). In early testing, Excel was *not* a good choice
for ODBC-based reporting since ODBC reporting is based
on MSQuery which has a limitation of 4,000 tables.

JDBC – (Java DataBase Connectivity)
Popular on Unix platforms

SQLDBC is SAP native database SDK
